Anberlin.

Here is a fun one. In 2008, we were asked to shoot a music video for Anberlin new single “Feel Good Drag”. This was our first time shooting in LA. I recently found a handful of old behind the scenes photos.

So, myself and Steve Hoover traveled out there and worked with Brandon Bonfiglio for the first time. We filmed it at the Poodle Parlor and I’m sure many people know that place in LA. After this video, the commissioner was impressed and asked us to pitch on 3 Doors Down and Bon Jovi, but obviously we didn’t get either of those videos. But we did go on to work with the guys in Anberlin another 2 times over the next few years, which is always rewarding and encouraging. They just kept getting better and better with age.

For those of you who care, I believe this was shot on the very first RED One camera. Technology has come so far since then. Also this was shot by Johnny Ching.

After the video shoot Anberlin had a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which we were invited to. I forget who the guest was but we were invited back into the green room and hung out there for the entire episode.
